Task force members support diversity

MORE than 35 young people had their say and provided feedback on how the community could be improved at a sexuality and gender diversity forum organised by the Glenorchy Youth Task Force.

The forum included a range of workshops organised by Working it Out, TasCAHRD and Family Planning.

Attendees suggested a range of ideas that could improve awareness, access to services and information sharing about respectful relationships, sexuality and gender diversity.

Task Force members said the group identified sexuality and gender identity as an issue for their annual camp.

“The forums give young people a voice in matters that are important to them and their peers,” Task Force members said.
