FAMED Glenorchy hairdressing salon Jabeks Hair will become The Hair Collective as the store undergoes a fresh makeover.
After three decades of servicing the Glenorchy community, previous owner Cindy Lincoln has handed over the salon’s reins to sister duo Sarah and Renee Cox.
“I have been working as a hairdresser in Glenorchy for 44 years and for 30 of those I have been the owner of Jabeks Hair,” Cindy said.
“In my time I supported 25 apprentices through to become senior hairdressers, including new owner Renee who started with me six years ago.”
Cindy said servicing the Glenorchy community has been one of her life’s greatest joys.
“I feel so fortunate with the staff I have had and all the beautiful clients that have been with me from the beginning,” she said.
“We have clients who have come to the salon since they were children. We have watched them through their schooling years, graduations, weddings and all those memorable life moments.
“I couldn’t be happier to be passing over the business to Sarah and Renee. I know the salon is in very safe hands.”
Sarah and Renee have some exciting new ideas to take the salon to the next level.
“It has always been a dream of mine to one day do something with my sister, so when this opportunity came up it was a no-brainer for us,” Sarah said.
“We are keen to bring a fresh approach and some brand-new services to the salon while carrying on the family- friendly environment that Cindy has created.
“All the same familiar faces will continue on with us including Cindy who will be working five days a week.”
The Hair Collective is welcoming new clients and encourages anyone to get in touch.
