Glenorchy youth ask R U OK?

THE Glenorchy Youth Task Force will be hosting a community afternoon tea this month as part of the national suicide prevention event, R U OK? Day.

All members of the community are invited to join task force members for an afternoon of free entertainment, food and activities on Thursday 8 September on the Glenorchy Council lawns.

The event will include a conversation café, barbecue, lolly buffet, free hugs and other activities.

Task force members promote the importance of regular, meaningful conversation and work to give people the confidence to turn to each other to talk about life’s ups and downs.

They are asking community members to help create a more connected world.

For more information about the event, contact the council’s customer service area on phone 6216 6800.

More information about R U OK? Day can be found at www.ruok.org.au.

The Glenorchy R U OK? Day is supported by Metro Tasmania.
