Roth remains until 2027

Tasmania JackJumpers head coach Scott Roth said he was pleased to be in control of his future after reaching an agreement with the club to remain in his role until the end of the 2026/27 NBL season.

“This job is a big responsibility, but I’m quite passionate about growing the sport in Tasmania in the right way and inspiring lots of young kids,” he said.

“The supporters continue to show up no matter what. The people in Tasmania are very special.

“This will be my legacy and hopefully something that my family will be proud of.”

The club and Roth have agreed to activate the mutual option on his existing contract, plus a further one-year extension.

“We’re pleased to announce Scott’s commitment to the club for the next three seasons and to continue to build sustained success for the club both on and off the court,” chief executive officer Christine Finnegan said.

“Scott’s new contract gives us stability as the club grows beyond its infancy and supports the very positive discussions around new ownership.

“Scott’s coaching record speaks for itself, but it is also the work he has done off the court contributing to all pillars of our business that have contributed to this decision.

“Participation, corporate, member and fan engagement are at an all-time high and continue to grow. We are very grateful to Scott for the role he has played in this so far and will continue to do so into the future.”
