NEW lights and expanded space at Prince of Wales Bay sports ground has made a noticeable impact for the Glenorchy Knights Football Club.

Glenorchy City Council completed the work earlier this year to enable the club to cater for increasing player numbers across youth and senior teams.

Glenorchy Knights spokesperson Paul Woodham thanked the council for its support and effort to get the work done.

“Having our teams able to train at this venue during winter makes a huge difference,” he said.

“The lights have also enabled us to establish the Knights Football Academy as a player development program for youth in the northern suburbs and surrounding areas.

“We look forward to the planned works at the grounds being completed in the near future.”
