TASMANIANS are encouraged to nominate locals who are making a real difference in their community, with the Tasmanian Community Achievement Awards being launched on Wednesday 13 May 2020.

The Awards are about acknowledging and celebrating the passion of people who are committed to making Tasmania a better place to live.

“Now more than ever, we need good news stories to encourage people stay strong, be kind and work hard to ensure Australia comes out the other side in a positive frame of mind ready to soar,” Awards director Geoff Griffin said.

The stories we share through these Awards about our amazing community contributors will help us all to stay positive.”

Categories that will be open for nominations include:

Heather & Christopher Chong Outstanding Achiever Award.

Fonterra Australia Agriculture Award.

Ricoh Business Centre Hobart Community Group of the Year Award.

EPA Sustainability Award.

MAIB Disability Achievement Award.

Prime Super Business Achievement Award.

Prime Super Employer Excellence in Aged Care Award.

Category winners will be presented with either $1000 from Bentleys Advisors, Accountants, Auditors or a Southern Cross Austereo Airtime package, plus a trophy.

Every person or group nominated will receive a certificate of achievement.
