Dads to delight in big day out

DADS are being encouraged to celebrate with their children at the annual Dad’s Day Out on Sunday 30 October between 11am and 2pm at the YMCA in Constance Avenue, Glenorchy.

Children and their dads will have the opportunity to create tool boxes with Bunnings Warehouse, join in a variety of sports and games, or try their hand at hula hoops, diabolo and devil sticks with the Social Circus Tasmania.

RACT and Kidsafe Tasmania will be providing free child restraint checks on the day, while Mission Australia’s Youth Beat Van will amuse teenagers with activities, show bags, temporary tattoos and giveaways.

There will also be face painting, a free barbecue, prizes, music, crafts, futsal, bubble balls, demonstrations, displays and more.

The activities can be enjoyed by all ages and even though the day is about celebrating fathers, everyone is welcome, including grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, partners and friends.
