City of Glenorchy Excellence Awards officially launched

THERE was excitement in the air when members of the local community gathered to mark the official launch of the 2015 City of Glenorchy Excellence Awards in August.

The Moonah Arts Centre provided an ideal venue for sponsors and guests to network before a welcome speech from organising committee chair Caroline Farquhar.

Those in attendance then enjoyed a presentation by Tracey Doedens from Quartz Consulting, who spoke about the importance of recognising and rewarding staff for effort and loyalty.

Nominations for the 2015 City of Glenorchy Excellence Awards closed at the end of August.

The judging panel is currently assessing the many nominations and organising interviews for the shortlisted businesses and individuals.

A total of eight awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday 16 October at the Tattersall’s Park Elwick Function Centre.
