DUST off your Christmas gear and warm up those vocal chords as Compassions Carols Under the Stars returns for a night of festivities and celebration.

Last year’s event saw more than 6000 people gather on the Lauderdale Primary School oval for the night of good cheer and Christmas carolling.

The event, which has grown from humble beginnings at Lauderdale Canal, has now become one of the largest carols events in Tasmania.

With free entry and unlimited activities and rides for the kids, it is a chance for the community to come together, have fun and connect with each other.

In addition to the contemporary, family friendly Carols program, the 2019 event will see attendees enjoy the large array of food stalls and a range of free family rides and activities from jumping castles and face painting to petting zoos.

And, of course, a visit from Santa.

This year will also be the second year that new sponsor Compassion will be encouraging attendees to consider how they can be generous this Christmas and contribute towards its work in seeing children released from poverty across the globe.

Compassion Carols Under the Stars will be held on Saturday 21 December at 6pm at Lauderdale Primary School Oval.
