With winter fast approaching, Team Care Tasmania (TCT) is urging businesses and employees to consider the importance of protecting against illness.
A division of The District Nurses, TCT was created in 2010 to provide quality, flexible and reliable service to the community sector, businesses and the general public.
The District Nurses marketing and communications officer Kate Pendlebury said TCT was now taking bookings from organisations and businesses for flu vaccinations to help protect employees.
“It is very important that people take the time to get vaccinated,” she said.
“We currently have a team of fully qualified nurse immunisers operating in our well-established clinics across the state and, more importantly, in our mobile service.
“It doesn’t take very long and we can offer the convenience of visiting worksites and offices.”
TCT operates from offices in the south, north and north-west of the state.
In addition to immunisations, TCT offers general and specialised nursing, comprehensive assessments, domestic assistance, personal care, health checks, respite services, companion services gardening and maintenance.
TCT services are available to anyone and no referrals are required.
